Our Foundation
RRNO meaning ‘to live on’ in the old Albanian language, is a gastronomic movement established by a group of Albanian chefs, in Albania, Kosova and abroad aiming to preserve, develop and promote Albanian cuisine worldwide. RRNO is registered as a not-for-profit organization in Albania and the USA.
Our Name
The name of our movement RRNO and our slogan “Rrno per me gatue” was inspired from a famous book called: “Rrno vetëm për me tregue”- ( I only live on to tell ) written by Zef Pllumbi, an Albanian Franciscan priest who spent twenty-three years in prisons and labour camps during Albanian communist regime.
Our Brand
We have chosen the Albanian Mountain Lily (lilium albanicum) as a symbol for the movement. This Lily stands as a symbol of beauty, authenticity and endurance, all values that we can relate to our work to document the legacy of Albania’s Ethno-gastronomy.
